RUSS BURROUGHS | HEAD TRAINER Available Sept - April
Russ is the Head Coach for the Wilmington Sharks in the Coastal Plain League. The CPL is one of the top premier collegiate summer leagues in the nation. With the Sharks, Russ works with top D1 athletes from all over the country. Prior to coaching in Wilimington, Russ was the Head Coach of the Edenton Steamers. Russ has worked with over 20 players drafted in the MLB Draft, 6 free agent signings, 4 players represented in the College World Series, and 19 CPL All-Stars.
Russ played and graduated from Lipscomb University. He also played four years of professional baseball, including one season internationally. He was a relief pitcher and designated hitter.
As our Head Trainer, Russ is involved with all our training programs. He also spends time with players and their families to help build a long term plan for their adjustment into the next level of play.

ERICH BUTLER | HITTING / PITCHING / FIELDING
Since finishing his playing career with Corpus Christi in 1994 and the Moose Jaw Diamond Dogs of the CBL in 1995, Erich has coached and taught the game in the Nashville area to players of all ages and abilities. Dedication to the game and teaching it are his passion.

KYLE ANSON | HITTING / FIELDING / CATCHING
Kyle Anson was part of the New York Yankees system from 2005-2009. He is a converted third baseman to catcher. Kyle has worked with top catching and hitting coaches, and brings that expertise to the ball players he works with.
Kyle provides an amazing amount of energy to his lessons that speaks to players of all ages and skill levels.

JAMIE YOUNG | PITCHING / HITTING / FIELDING
Jamie played college ball at Lipscomb University and Indiana University Southeast. During his career he was part of the Bisons second Atlantic Sun Championship team. He played Summer Collegiate Ball in the Perfect Game Collegiate League, the Sunbelt League and the Prospect League.
Jamie enjoys helping young players learn and develop.

PAM FOWLER | PITCHING
Pam was an All-Star pitcher and short-stop for the University of Iowa.
She is our longest tenured trainer with over 15 years of working with softball players at NBA.
Her dedication makes her a forever member of our training staff.

RYAN BULL | HITTING / FIELDING / SPEED

Ryan was a four-year starter at Notre Dame playing both outfield and first base. During his tenure, he garnered All-conference and All-academic honors and led the Irish to their first NCAA tournament appearance in nine years, earning himself a spot on the All-regional team. Ryan has been giving hitting and fielding lessons to young players looking to develop their fundamentals and take their skills to the next level.

ELISON OLLINGER | HITTING / FIELDING / SPEED
Elison was a 4-year starter at Belmont University. She has 4 years of experience playing shortstop and a year playing 3rd base at the NCAA Division 1 level.
She grew up playing travel ball and attending showcases with Iowa Premier Fastpitch. As a sophomore in high school, she was ranked as a Top 5 Shortstop in the nation by Fastpitch Scouting Report.
She has a passion for softball is excited to pass on her knowledge to developing players!

ZACH GILLES | HITTING / FIELDING / SPEED
Zach was a five year starter at Central Michigan as a centerfielder. During his time at CMU he set a program record by playing in 245 games and ranks top 10 in five career categories in University program history: second in hits (252), triples (15), and walks (148); and fourth in at-bats (813) and runs (178). Played Summer Collegiate Ball in the Northwoods League in 2017, 2018, 2019, & 2020; and was named Northwoods League All-Star in 2017 & 2020.
